Indian curry in Bath

Curries are the heart of our menu at Maaya. Our kitchen cooks traditional Indian curries from across the country, from Kashmir in the north to Goa and the Malabar coast in the south, alongside all the curry house favourites. Find us on St James’s Parade, a three-minute walk from the Roman Baths.

Chef’s special curries

These are the dishes our chefs are proudest of, inspired by cooking from different regions of India.

  • Kashmiri Aromatic Lamb Rogan Josh, lamb cooked in the aromatic style of Kashmir
  • North Indian Butter Chicken, a rich and creamy favourite
  • Goan Seabass, inspired by the coastal cooking of Goa
  • Malabar King Prawns, from the Malabar coast in the south west of India
  • Kadhai Spiced King Prawns, cooked with bold kadhai spices

Curry house classics

If you have a favourite, it is probably here. Our classic curries are chicken tikka masala, korma, jalfrezi, madras, dhansak, saag and kadhai, and you can have any of them with lamb instead of chicken.

Hyderabadi biryani

Our biryanis follow the Hyderabadi style, with fragrant basmati rice cooked with aromatic spices and herbs. Choose from chicken biriyani or lamb biriyani.

Vegetarian and vegan curries

There is plenty for vegetarians and vegans too, including tadka daal, Amritsari chickpeas (chana masala), saag aloo, Bombay aloo, saag paneer and paneer butter masala. Dishes are marked on the food menu so you can see at a glance what suits you.

Naan, rice and sides

Mop it all up with a naan, from plain and garlic to Peshwari and cheese and chilli, and add basmati rice and sides for the table.

Halal Indian curries

All the meat we serve is halal, and there is no pork on our menu.
